About Justice

It's easy to forget sometimes when we are overwhelmed by looking at the current state of our world that God has blessed us with institutions that will take care of the dirty work for us. Courthouses, attorneys, police men, and government agencies that will take it upon themselves to punish criminals and wrong doers. We have college programs, that if we truly feel we have a calling to do justice for our country, we can train in and become part of those systems. We have armies, navies, air forces and marines to go fight for justice around the world and the protection of our nation. We also have a means to get into those programs if we feel that is where we belong. So it's easy to forget that we have been blessed with these institutions when we watch the news and they're reporting on some grievous criminal, some murderer, someone who abused a child or some army with radical ideals that want to bring harm to us. God blesses us with these institutions and they take care of it. So why get worked up over the news of these people? If you're hearing about these people, then there is someone already taking care of it. Instead we should pray for their repentance, for the institutions to effectively do their jobs, and for ourselves to remind us to love and forgive our neighbor and to lead us away from anger.
